Brazil IV – Sumaré.

That Wednesday we left Pirapózinho and its fairs ten hours behind us and came back to the greater São Paulo area.

On Thursday, we left for the church conferences being held in Sumaré, a small town just outside Campinas.

On our way there, mommy drove Uncle’s car, and he drove ahead in the Volkswagen which was full full full of merchandise and well.. stuff.
As we drove along every once in a while we’d see the Volkswagen dance from side to side. Yeah.. it was heavy.

Pretending. ‘Cause even if I could drive shift, I wouldn’t drive that car.

The sierras..

My hometown..

Sammy fell asleep…

And so did his sister…

The kid didn’t.

Neither did grandma and I…

Another sunset on the road..

During the meetings we were blessed with sermons, choir music and the company of old friends and acquaintances, as well as had the opportunity to make new friends.

One of the many two-story buses that came full of new people..

The auditorium..

Izzy, Rafaela, LimLim, Moi!
Friends I hadn’t seen in a long time, and a new friend. 🙂

Peeking…

The platform ..

Children’s Choir…

Children’s presentation. Victor got to dress up as a Waldense…

Adult choir…

The auditorium from the outside…

During the day we got to wait in line for lunch…

Take photos in the sun…

At night we got to take photos in lamplight….
While most normal people were either asleep or inside covered places..
We were outside in the cold, being silly, eating, laughing…

And then there were more meetings…

And soon it was time to say good-bye to some..

Just the girls!

With the boys.. Saying good-bye to Rafaela (tan jacket) and Miller (eagle Tee)..

And the rest of us continue on to the next part of our Brazilian adventures…

…..

Photos: Mine. Yours. Ours.
